As CEO, Dan is responsible for all investment management and trading operations. He joined Direxion in 1999 and plays a leading role in the development and launch of new products and value added services for advisors and investors. He is a member of the Direxion Executive Management Committee.
Prior to joining Direxion Funds, he served as Portfolio Manager: Private Equity Investments at Hermitage Capital Management Limited in Moscow, Russia. His responsibilities included monitoring investments by two hedge funds in illiquid Russian equities.
Dan earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the editorial board for Virginia Law Review. He holds a BA in English and Economics from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he was a Jefferson Scholar.
Angie is responsible for the day to day management and oversight of the legal and compliance operations of the Direxion Shares, Direxion Funds, Rafferty Asset Management, LLC and Direxion Advisors, LLC.
She joined the firm in 2010 as General Counsel and became Chief Compliance Officer in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, she worked at USBancorp Fund Services, LLC in fund administration and Strong Asset Management, LLC.
Angie graduated from Drake University in 1998 with a degree in accounting and finance and received her J.D. in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
As CRO, Laura oversees the sales, marketing and product development teams with a focus on expanding the firm’s strategy, brand reputation and market position in the industry. Laura joined Direxion in 2022 and, together with the team, works to deliver innovative trading and investment products with an emphasis on client engagement and education.
Prior to joining Direxion, she served as SVP, Global Head of Listings at Cboe Global Markets where she oversaw the Cboe listings business including strategy development for ETP launches and transfers, and market-quality incentive programs.
She began her career working at a specialist firm on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) floor. After having spent 20 years in leadership roles at the NYSE, Ms. Morrison left to help build a brand-new stock exchange, BATS (Better Alternative Trading Systems).
Laura is well known and respected within the Global ETF and Exchange industries. She serves as a board member of the US Women in ETFs board and serves on several ICI and SIFMA committees. Laura is a member of the S&P DJ Indices US Equities Advisory Panel and participated in the World 50 Executive Leader program.
Laura graduated from Western Michigan University with a major in finance and a marketing minor. She also accepted an executive invitation to attend the Executive Leadership Program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Laura holds a Series 7 license.
Paul is responsible for the day to day management, oversight and trading operations of all Direxion Shares and Direxion Funds.
He joined the firm in 2004 and played a leading role in the development and launch of Direxion’s leveraged ETFs in November 2008. Prior to joining the firm he worked as an Associate Financial Consultant at FleetBoston Financial.
Paul graduated from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He currently holds a Series 3, 7, 55 and 66 license and over 10 years of experience in index replication and sophisticated derivatives based strategies.
As Head of Sales and Distribution Ed focuses on global product implementation within the institutional and tactical client segments as well as promoting ETF education and strategy throughout the financial industry. Ed is also responsible for managing the Direxion ETF sales team. As Head of Alternative Investments, Ed’s focus is to drive the firm's product development initiatives, internal and external product messaging, training and support of product delivery.
Prior to joining Direxion, he served as Managing Director of Business Development at Price Asset Management where his focus was on expanding the company's distribution network and diversifying its product line. Ed was also Managing Director and head of Alternative Strategies at Rydex Investments where he provided leadership to the sales team for alternative strategy initiatives, expanded distribution channels, and effectively branded Rydex, as well, as a recognized provider of alternative investment. Earlier in his career, Ed was Head of US Sales and Marketing for Kenmar Advisory Corporation where he drove domestic asset growth among high net worth and institutional clients.
Ed graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the State University of New York in Albany. He also holds Series 3, 7, 24, and 63 Licenses.
David leads product R&D, strategy and management for the firm.
Prior to joining Direxion, he was the Head of ETF Investment Strategy at OppenheimerFunds and led the firm’s ETF Investment Marketing and ETF Specialist Teams. Prior to joining OppenheimerFunds, David led product strategy, positioning, and analysis as a Managing Director and Head of ETF and Mutual Fund Research at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA). Prior to that role, he was a member of SSGA’s Global Enhanced Equity Group, responsible for stock-selection research, portfolio management and product strategy; across multiple quantitatively managed investment strategies.
David received his M.B.A. in Finance from the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University and his B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Boston College.
Tony oversees a team of Portfolio Managers responsible for the Direxion ETF lineup. His expertise includes the creation and execution to bring a leverage/inverse ETF to market and the daily operations of managing leverage/inverse ETFs.
Prior to joining Rafferty, he held supervisory roles in the Middle Office groups at Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Asset Management.
Tony received his Masters of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business at New York University and his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the State University of Buffalo. He currently holds Series 3, Series 7, Series 63, Paper 1 and Paper 2 securities licenses.
As Chief Marketing Officer at Direxion, Andy leads all marketing efforts focusing on building brand and product awareness within the investment advisor community.
Prior to joining Direxion, he was the Director of Distribution Marketing for MassMutual Financial Group's Retirement Services division. Andy has also been employed by State Street Bank, Fidelity Investments, and Emplanet Retirement Services, in various relationship management, product development, and strategic marketing positions.
Andy is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and has earned a Masters of Business Administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
Todd is responsible for Rafferty Asset Management’s overall risk management and directing the firm’s technological resources efficiently and securely.
Prior to joining the firm, he worked at a number of hedge funds focused on various systematic strategies with roles across trading, portfolio management, and risk control.
Todd graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University’s School of Business in 2003 where he completed a double major in Finance and Management Information Systems. He is a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM), issued by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). He currently holds a Series 3 securities license.
As CFO, Pat is responsible for oversight of all financial matters for the firm, including certification of financial reporting for all products. Pat also has lead responsibility for monitoring operational risk, and internal efficiencies for the firm.
Prior to Direxion, he managed various teams in the Fund Administration department at U.S. Bancorp Fund Services in which he was responsible for financial reporting, compliance, board reporting and expense oversight for a number of clients. Pat was also a key member of the team that helped develop USBFS's ETF servicing model. He served as the Treasurer and Principal Financial Officer for Professionally Managed Portfolios and ETF Series Solutions, both multiple series trusts; and for the Direxion Funds and Direxion Shares ETF Trusts. Prior to U.S. Bancorp, he was an audit manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, specializing in assessing the internal control structure of investment management companies, investment advisers, and broker dealers.
Pat is a Certified Public Accountant, and received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
